downtown astoria + striped maternity dress

IMG_9989.JPG

we hadn't been to our town's sunday market in a couple months and i'm always down for a fun little trip downtown, so this past weekend we took the 5 minute drive to the heart of astoria. there are a few beautiful stores here in town that i absolutely love and hadn't visited in a while, so i was excited to do a bit of window shopping too (i ended up getting a comfy & cute linen jumpsuit I can't wait to show you guys). ohhhh and there's this new hotdog stand that we tried the other day (i got a seattle dog - cream cheese and grilled onions omg) and were dying to get to again. and we always love any excuse to go to our local ice cream shop, frite & scoop (YUP. hand crafted ice cream and french fries). so like...a hundred reasons why i wanted to take a little day trip. on top of all those reasons (most of which seem to be food, LOL), i also wanted a chance to style & photograph this amazing dress from pink blush!

about this dress...

1. super comfy

2. super flattering

3. super cute

4. can nurse in it

5. fits right in with my stripes obsession

6. made for a bump, but i can totally see it working after pregnancy

7. neutral so i can accessorize in endless ways

8. haassss pooockeeettss!

if it isn't obvious already...i really like this dress. i have tons of stripes already, but i just couldn't resist the skinny subtle vertical stripes and the perfect length. i will say i think the dress runs just a tad big. according to pink blush's size chart, i should order a large in their dresses. i thought it looked stretchy and the straps looked a little loose, so i decided to get a medium and i'm so glad i didn't go any bigger! so if you decide to spring for this lovely dress, keep that in mind. that little detail aside, i absolutely love this dress! i'm so glad to add it to my wardrobe and i know it will fit right in throughout the seasons of our life and will be crazy easy to accessorize in different ways.

thanks to my awesome insta hubby, mom, and aunt amy for taking my pictures!

we had such a fun weekend and i can't wait to style this dress in more ways and watch it grow with my bump! maybe i'll even update you guys on how the dress works postpartum. hope everyone is having a wonderful week!
