Milo's Nursery

IMG_3790.JPG

Ta da! Milo's nursery is finally 99.99% finished! (Yeah, I couldn't wait for the finishing touches to show you guys, I'm just waaaay too excited!) At long last the sweet baby room is done, with less than a week til my due date! We worked pretty hard on it and it's taken a little while to bring all my visions to life, but it was well worth it. I'm so in love with this room. It's definitely my new favorite place in the house. I actually go in there at least once a day and stare at everything. I'm legit the heart eyes emoji, just standing there, gazing at the adorable-ness. I knew from the beginning that I wanted a woodland animal/neutral-ish/scandinavian-y themed room and I started collecting items that I thought would work months and months ago. Some pieces I even bought with no intention of going in the nursery, but realized later that they'd be perfect in there. I even gathered up some things from around my house that I was already using because they were so on-theme. I definitely took some inspiration from Pinterest, but I'm actually pretty proud of how much of it came from my own brain (especially since I'm usually the queen of blatantly copying cute stuff from Pinterest). Multiple times I worried that everything wouldn't match right or the style of certain pieces clashed or that there were way too many different shades of white and off white and brown/mustard yellow/burnt orange. But my mom reminded me that in nature a bunch of different shades and colors go together and so with that reassurance, I knew that it would work out.

And it worked out better than I could have dreamed! I'm so thankful for a husband who works his butt off to make my visions come to life (and not even that begrudgingly, hehe) and for a mom who supports me at every turn & provides opinions when I need them most and for a dad who loves me & is always willing to help us with projects no matter what toll it takes on his own goals. I'm so happy to have people who love me and who will love my baby. Hope you all enjoy seeing Milo's little corner. Send me good vibes/prayers/whatever that this little guy decides to make his appearance sooner than later because I'm pretty much over the basketball stomach and heartburn. Happy Sunday!
