Since Mack and I are leaving town for Thanksgiving, as are most of our friends, we decided to have a celebration beforehand. This is only the second Thanksgiving that Mack and I have been on our own, and the first that I've actually cooked for. I was a little nervous about making the food, but with the help of my friend, we had a delicious meal. We had a blast...and a lot of pie (recipes to come!). Anyway, I found this delicious fall sangria recipe on Facebook. Here is the video! I followed the recipe they listed in the comments almost exactly and just wanted to share this gem with you.
6 gala apples
3 pears (I just used regular pears)
1 bottle Pinot Grigio (I just grabbed a small, cheap $5 bottle)
1/2 gallon non-alcoholic apple cider
1 liter club soda
Cinnamon sticks for garnish (optional)
Cube the apples and pears. Place in a bowl and pour in the Fireball. Let the fruit soak in the alcohol for 2 hours, covered. Once the fruit has soaked, add in other ingredients. Serve with cinnamon sticks as garnish - and don't forget to scoop out some delicious fruit to add to your drink!
